More than 65 institutions and over 140 individuals logged in to the “Managing for Outcomes: Shifting from Process-Centric to Results-Oriented Operations” Webinar held Wednesday, September 19, 2007.

Dr. Wayne Sigler, Director of Admissions at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, discussed how the seven steps of the Tri-O system can help managers produce the outcomes that stakeholders expect. All seven steps are of equal value and are integral to producing a successful outcome-oriented management.

Sigler suggested that managers can and should create an environment where employees know their mission and use not only tried processes, but also use creative methods to accomplish these goals. He also advised listeners on the importance of finding and directing strengths and talents in staff members and rewarding them when they achieve results.
